WAH! WAH! GIRLS .. THE PEACOCK THEATRE.. LONDON.. MAY 27TH 2012

Whilst in London last weekend to attend the fabulous Hunger Project Gala with Dionne Warwick, I couldn't resist grabbing an opportunity to catch a preview of a new British set Bollywood musical, 'Wah! Wah! Girls' at The Peacock Theatre in London.. As expected the show was full of colour and wonderful characters, all fused together by an energetic cast..
As well as providing moments of comedy, Rina Fatania as Bindi launches the audience into the world of Bollywood, as she plays a housewife who escapes from the real world, when her husband goes away on business. Tony Jayawardena plays storekeeper Mansoor, who has a hidden link to Wah! Wah! club owner Soraya played by Bombay Dreams and Coronation Street star Sophia Haque. When Sita (Rebecca Grant), a runaway turns up looking to join the club as a dancer, secrets come to the surface, which ends in tradgedy..  Not wanting to give too much away, this all provide some moments of high drama, along with sensational flashbacks in true traditional Bollywood spectacle.. The show is certainly worth a look and has now officially opened..
