STARLIGHT EXPRESS ... POINT THEATRE .. JULY 2006 ..
Currently doing the rounds is a brand new production of Andrew Lloyd Webbers hit show Starlight Express... It last did the rounds in 2006 and I managed to catch a performance at the old Point Theatre.. One of the stars of this production was Oliver Thornton who recently lit up the West End in the hit show 'Priscilla Queen Of The Desert'.. One of the features of the original London run at the Apollo, was the fact the theatre was rigged out to accomodate the skating sequences.. This of course is not a runner for a touring show, so a series of 3D sequences were introduced into the show, as you can see from the glasses pictured... Certainly a unique show and certainly a good nights entertainment....
