THE WORLD ACCORDING TO JOAN .. SELFRIDGES.. MARCH 10TH 2012

I was delighted to pop over to London on Saturday 10th March to attend Joan Collins book signing at Selfridges department store in London. As you may know I have been an admirer of Joan's for nearly 30 years and now have a much viewed blog 'The Joan Collins Archive' at www.joancollinsarchive.blogspot.com devoted to Joan.. This was Joan's only public signing event for her latest book 'The World According To Joan', she did hold a private signing at Sainsbury HQ last year, when the book was an exclusive at the store... I was thrilled to spend some time with Joan before and after the signing in the privacy of the Personal Shopping VIP Suite.. I brought a photo of Joan's very first signing which was held at Selfridges in 1978 for her first book 'Past Imperfect'.. She was thrilled to see it and I finally got my copy of the orignal book signed by Joan!

There was a great turnout for the signing, as well as the usual crowd of onlookers and ten members of the press, Joan gave them plenty of great shots for the newspapers in the classic Collins style!
