SINGIN' IN THE RAIN .. THE PALACE THEATRE LONDON .. OCTOBER 20TH 2012 ..
I was delighted to finally catch the latest West End run of the classic Hollywood musical 'Singin' In The Rain', which continues to play to a packed house after a year and has been extended to next year.. Staged in the beautiful Palace Theatre, the show has a wonderful, vibrant cast and it pure old style Hollywood entertainment.. Starring Royal Ballet star Adam Cooper as Don Lockwood, who looks dashing and has all the right moves, certainly leads the show.. Scarlett Strallen as Katy Selden does remind me of a young Debbie Reynolds and compliments Adam wonderfully in the show.. Comedy highlights comes from Daniel Crossley as Cosmo with Katherine Kingsley as the high pitched priestess of glamour Lina Lamont.. Veteran stars Robert Powell and Sandra Dickinson are welcome additions to the cast.. Apart from getting a little damp in the legendary lampost scene and at the finale, the show is a must see ....
