THE HEIDI KONNT XXX-MAS SHOW .. PROJECT ARTS THEATRE .. DECEMBER 2005 ..

Until this year an annual fixture of the Dublin gay scene has been The Alternative Miss Ireland contest, which was held every March at The Olympia Theatre.. As well as raising funds for aids charities, contestants dressed or undressed in their drag finery... The 2005 winner was Heidi Konnt alias Neil Watkins, who created a grotesque creature as pictured, who among other things, was said to have had relations with the pope! For the Christmas season and to capitilise on his Pageant win, The Project Arts Theatre in Dublin paid host to The Heid Konnt XXX-Mas Show, on the basis that Eurovision legend Dana is unable to perform her own Christmas show and Heidi has to take over! While Dana sang All Kinds of Everything, good old Heidi 'Had All kinds of Everything'!! From what I can remember the show was amusing, as well as Heidi telling her own story, there was some songs with Paul Bradley on piano.. What you might call An Alternative Xmas message show!
