An event I like to attend, which is held twice a year, is the Autographica Show, which gives me the opportunity to catch up with some familiar faces! At past events was delighted to have dinner with such lovely ladies as Tippi Hedren, Ursula Andress and Joan Collins. This event I spent the evening with the lovely Linda Gray and Top Hollywood producer/booker Karen Cadle. The events began with a cocktail reception in the hotel's Best Seller bar & terrace overlooking Heathrow's busy runway. I was delighted to mingle with among others, the glamorous star of "Charlie's Angels" and "A View To A Kill", Tanya Roberts, who was a delight who chatted about her upcoming book and her desire to come to Ireland! The ever popular actor Richard Roundtree, star of the classic 70's movie "Shaft", who told me about his current web-based series "Diary of a Single Mom", available on the Public Internet Channel. The series also stars Leon and Billy Dee Williams.. Had a chat with Linda Gray and Charlene Tilton who also attended the event.. I was delighted to see the girls at breakfast and it's not every day you have legendary ladies from "Dallas" in the next hotel room.. The following day there were a series of signing events and I managed to have a chat with legendary British star of stage, screen and TV, the always busy Nicholas Parsons who signed my copy of his witty and funny autobiography " With Just A Touch Of Hesitation, Repetition and Deviation! My Life In Comedy"... I also chatted to another British film legend, the wonderful Sylvia Syms, who had just come from Edinburgh where she was filming  a new film "Booked out".. An always busy lady and lovely to chat to.. Unfortunately due to their busy schedules, both Nicholas and Sylvia could not attend the dinner later that evening, so I was delighted to catch up with them... The Gala dinner was in the Aviation Suite and before the dinner commenced, chatted to some of the guests.. An enjoyable dinner was had by all and it was a delight having Linda Gray as a dinner guest along with Karen Cadle and other non celebrity guests.Linda was excited about her new film "Expecting Mary", who apart from starring Linda has a wonderful cast of veterans including Cloris Leachman, Lainie Kazan, Cybill Shepherd, Elliott Gould and Della Reese..and she also completed a film called "Flight of the Swan" which features a cameo by Larry Hagman! Linda also had hopes that she would appear on Broadway soon in a revival of "Terms of Endearment" which she first did on a tour of the UK, a few years ago...Following dinner there was drinks in the Aviation lobby, managed to have a chat with Richard and grab a photo with Tanya.. All in all it was great to meet up with some great names and I look forward to the next show in April! Watch this space...
