LA CLIQUE has been a global hit for many years and plays sellout dates from Australia to New York, most recently an extended run at the London Hippodrome. For the last 3 years it has sold out at The Dublin Fringefest and I have attended two seasons first in 2007 and this flyer and ticket for the 2008 Festival, where the Spiegeltent relocated from it's dockland spot to the Iveagh Gardens,Dublin,which is located behind the National Concert Hall. I attended this performance on 12th September 2008. It is hard to define La Clique as it is an old fashioned variety show, with a rotating roster of acts. Included in the shows I have seen are. The English Gents, from Australia, who make their appearance dressed for the city in suits and bowler hats and eventually end up in her shorts, while they preform feats of acrobatic skill, strength and balance. They do this reading a paper, puffing a pipe and basically keeping a stiff upper lip amongst another things! ...Mario Queen of the Circus, who combines his love of Freddie Mercury with his skills as a juggler and his love of the unicycle! Captain Frodo , who can manipulate himself through a tennis racquet! Amy G.. she can skate, play a ukulele and a kazoo from a very strange place! David O'Mer, who spends his time in and out of a bath of water..don't sit in the front row!Shown here is the promo ad, ticket, london flyer..
